As old buildings and barns began to come down around us in Western North Carolina window panes fell into lap,  barn in this case, from family and friends.  In 2008 two little girls living in Cruso and died in a house fire at the time series came alive which was titled and pays tribute to those fragile lives lost and never fully lived.  There lives were stopped short by lack of, lack of many things while flames raged below with pain in glass.

The contemporary gardens that have come to life on old window panes have a title based upon affliction for healing and living.  Art becomes a moment in time based on lessons learned and views gleaned.  Each person walking the Earth is cut from a different cloth while balancing the understanding of humanity.  It is a raw struggle leaving pain behind glass.
